A focused musical theater experience for younger performers who are serious about the craft but not yet ready for the competitive intensity of the Summer Intensive. Training in vocal, acting, and song interpretation — in a supportive, age-grouped environment — with a final performance.
July 27 – August 1, 2026 · 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily
Ripley Grier Studios, 305 W 38th St, New York, NY 10018
Six days of professional-level training across every discipline that defines a working musical theater performer. Students are taught by writers, directors, producers, and performers who work in the industry today — not people approximating it from the outside. The result is a young performer who understands what professional practice actually looks and feels like.

From technique to interpretation. Students work with a working Music Director on breath, range, resonance, and — most importantly — how to tell a story through a song.
Theatrical movement, staging awareness, and choreography. Taught by a working Broadway director and choreographer.
Scene work, objective-driven performance, and the skill of making choices under pressure. The tool that separates a performer from a singer.
What casting rooms actually look for. How to walk in, slate, take a note, and leave having been seen. Taught by people who have been on both sides of the table.
Acting through song. The discipline BSP faculty return to in every session because it is the foundation of everything else.
An introduction to the voice over market — a working, often overlooked avenue for young performers. Microphone technique, character differentiation, and copy reading.
A private outing to a current Broadway production, followed by a Q&A with a performer from the show. Students see the professional standard they are working toward.
On the final day, students audition in front of real agents, managers, and casting directors — the people who actually book the work. With professional feedback.
A cabaret-style showcase performance — the culmination of six days of work, performed for family, friends, and the industry professionals who attended the audition.

Technique and song interpretation taught by working industry professionals. Students learn to use their voice with intention, not just volume.
The core discipline of musical theater. Students discover that performing a song and performing a story are two entirely different things — and learn to do the latter.
Coaching on how to hold an audience, take direction, and carry a number from the first note to the final bow.
Every session ends with a small, focused cabaret performance — a real showing of what the work produced, for family and friends.
Two-day cabaret experiences at The Green Room 42. Coaching, a group number, a solo, and a Broadway guest star.
Three days. A cast recording, a music video with a film crew, and a live solo cabaret at a premier NYC venue.
Two programs. One professional standard. The first step is the same for both — reach out and tell us about your young performer.
