Enrollment Terms & Conditions

The Agreement That Protects Everyone.

Please read carefully before completing your enrollment. Submission of your enrollment form and tuition payment constitutes your acceptance of these terms.

These Terms and Conditions govern your child’s participation in programs offered by The Broadway Star Project (“BSP”). By submitting your enrollment form and tuition payment, you agree to the terms outlined below on behalf of yourself and your child. If you have questions before enrolling, please contact us at admissions@thebroadwaystarproject.com.

Section 1

Enrollment & Payment

Tuition is due in full at the time of enrollment unless a payment plan has been arranged through Afterpay. Enrollment is not confirmed until tuition payment is received. Submitting an application or audition video does not constitute enrollment.

Payment plans are available through Afterpay. BSP is not responsible for any fees, interest, or issues arising from your Afterpay arrangement. Your enrollment remains subject to these terms regardless of your payment schedule.

Tuition covers program instruction, coaching, venue costs, and all standard program materials including the BSP uniform t-shirt. It does not cover Broadway show tickets (Summer Intensive), performance tickets (required minimum purchase of 4 tickets for applicable programs), or optional merchandise.

Section 2

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All tuition payments are non-refundable. BSP invests significantly in faculty, venues, and production preparation from the moment enrollment is confirmed. We are unable to offer refunds for any reason, including illness, scheduling conflicts, relocation, or personal circumstances.

Tuition credits may be issued at BSP’s sole discretion in cases of documented medical emergency. Credits are applied to a future BSP program within one calendar year of the original program date and may not be transferred to another student or redeemed for cash.

Program cancellation by BSP: In the rare event that BSP cancels a program due to circumstances beyond its control (including but not limited to venue unavailability, extreme weather, or public health emergency), BSP will issue a full tuition credit toward a future program. Refunds will not be issued in these circumstances.

Transfers: Requests to transfer enrollment to a different program or program date may be accommodated at BSP’s discretion, subject to availability, and must be made no later than two weeks before the original program start date.

Section 3

Attendance & Participation

Full attendance at all program days and sessions is expected and required. BSP programs are designed as cohesive experiences — each session builds on the previous one, and the group ensemble work depends on every participant being present.

Students who miss sessions due to illness or emergency will not receive tuition credits or refunds for missed time. BSP will make reasonable efforts to support students who miss a session in catching up, but cannot guarantee the same experience as full attendance.

Students are expected to arrive on time, in the BSP uniform, prepared to work. Habitual tardiness or repeated unpreparedness that disrupts the program experience for the group may result in the student being asked to sit out a session at the faculty’s discretion.

Section 4

Student Conduct

BSP programs operate at a professional standard. Students are expected to conduct themselves with respect for faculty, fellow participants, venue staff, and the work itself. This includes:

  • Following instructions from faculty and BSP staff without argument or negotiation during program sessions
  • Treating fellow students with kindness and professionalism
  • Refraining from disruptive behavior during instruction, rehearsal, recording, or performance
  • Using personal devices only during designated breaks

BSP reserves the right to remove any student from a program without refund if their behavior significantly disrupts the experience of other participants or is deemed unsafe. This decision rests solely with the Artistic Director and Director of Admissions.

Section 5

Media Release & Intellectual Property

By enrolling, you grant The Broadway Star Project permission to photograph and video-record your child during all program activities, including rehearsals, recording sessions, and performances. This content may be used by BSP for promotional, educational, and archival purposes across all platforms, including but not limited to the BSP website, YouTube channel, and social media accounts.

You will receive a link to your child’s individual performance video and, where applicable, the ensemble recording and music video. These materials are provided for personal use. Commercial use, redistribution, or monetization of BSP-produced content without written permission is prohibited.

All program materials, curriculum content, music arrangements, choreography, and production elements developed by BSP faculty and staff remain the intellectual property of The Broadway Star Project.

Section 6

Health, Safety & Emergency

The health and safety of every participant is BSP’s first priority. By enrolling, you confirm that your child is in good health and physically able to participate in all program activities, including dance and movement components.

You are required to disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations that may affect your child’s participation on the enrollment form. Failure to disclose relevant health information may affect BSP’s ability to support your child appropriately.

In the event of a medical emergency during a program, BSP staff will contact emergency services and the parent or guardian listed on the enrollment form immediately. BSP is not responsible for any medical costs incurred.

BSP programs follow all applicable New York City venue safety protocols. Students may not leave the program venue unaccompanied during program hours without written permission from a parent or guardian.

Section 7

Sign-In & Sign-Out

A parent or authorized guardian must sign students in at the start of each program day and sign them out at the end. Students will not be released to any adult not listed on the enrollment form without prior written notification from the enrolling parent or guardian.

Late pickup (more than 15 minutes after the scheduled end of the program day) may result in a late fee of $25 per 15-minute increment, at BSP’s discretion.

Section 8

Coogan Law Compliance

The Broadway Star Project is aware of and compliant with the California Coogan Law and its New York equivalents governing the employment of minors in entertainment. BSP programs are educational and training-based, not professional employment engagements. Participation in BSP programs does not constitute employment, and no earnings are generated by students through their participation.

If your child is a working minor under an existing Coogan arrangement, please inform BSP at enrollment so we can ensure our documentation is consistent with your obligations.
